The Medical Cannabis Workshop provides an in-depth review of the IL Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act, specifically as it relates to patients and caregivers. Attendees will be introduced to the benefits of medical cannabis and the function of the endocannabinoid system. The presentation includes an in-depth discussion of the state cannabis law, as it relates to medical cannabis patients and caregivers. This workshop is ideal for anyone who is interested in applying for the IL Medical Cannabis program. Attendees will be given step-by-step instructions to help them complete the application for the IL Medical Cannabis program, a service provided by many medical marijuana organizations for $100 or more.
Kiana Hughes is an educator, with over a decade of experience designing and delivering educational content to adult learners. She and her business partner, Fenesha Hubbard co-founded Two DOPE Chicks, an educational consulting firm dedicated to increasing awareness of the benefits of the cannabis plant. She is a former co-chair of Women Grow Chicago and a community educator for Illinois Women in Cannabis. As an experienced educator, public speaker and cannabis activist, Kiana is a regular presenter at the Women Grow Leadership Summit in Denver, CO, and gives educational presentations throughout the Chicagoland area. In the Spring of 2017, Kiana launched The DOPE Show, an internet radio show dedicated to providing education and increasing awareness about cannabis. Kiana holds a Masters degree in Communications and Training. She is a Sr. Education Specialist and has taught communications college courses for over a decade.
